What is a Risk Assessor?
An individual who assesses risk associated with various risk factors found to exist within a company.
What is a Certified Assessor of Enterprise Risk?
A person who acts as a Risk Assessor, has trained under a specific system for performing risk assessments for a specific industry, and has passed all testing requirements to become certified, in this case by MyRiskContol.
What is Enterprise Risk Management?
Also known as ERM, it is a process applicable to the management of any type of company, particularly those in high risk industries. The management process includes identifying risk factors, performing a risk analysis, responding to risk, implementing risk controls and monitoring risk controls put in place. It is a continual process that seeks to mitigate all current and future risk within the enterprise.
What is MyRiskControl?
A provider of Enterprise Risk Management Services, including services to help contractors perform self-assessments and install controls, services to train and certify independent third parties to perform risk assessments, and services that provide risk analysis, scoring, rating and reporting.

What qualifications are required to become a Risk Assessor?
Any individual can be a risk assessor, however the assessment is of little value unless a rigid proven system is followed for conducting the assessment. Such systems most often require Certification.
What are the general requirements for becoming a Certified Assessor of Enterprise Risk?
Sufficient proven knowledge of the construction industry, specific general educational requirements, and completion of MyRiskControl’s Certification Program which requires a passing grade on all tests.
What are the educational requirements for becoming a Certified Assessor of Enterprise Risk?
A bachelors degree, preferably technical, from an accredited college. All other requirements can be found under the detailed description of pre-reuquisites.
Do I need to take a class?
All training to become a Certified Risk Assessor is given through MyRiskControl’s Webinars. The training includes, lectures, course materials, and testing.
How much are the fees to become a Risk Assessor?
The only fee is for the Certification Success Package that you receive upon becoming certified. The cost of the package is nominal and the fee is collected prior to training and refunded if you are unsuccessful at completing the course or passing the required testing.
Application Process:
How do I apply to become a Certified Assessor of Enterprise Risk?
Simply fill out the application form found on the MyRiskControl website and submit it electronically. MyRiskControl will provide you an access code to take the courses and complete the testing. Upon meeting all testing requirements, you will be sent the Certification Success kit that will allow you to perform Certified Risk Assessments.
What is provided by MyRiskControl as evidence of meeting the education, experience, and training requirements, and becoming certified?
MyRiskControl provides each Certified Risk Assessor Power of Attorney privileges to certify any MyRiskControl Risk Analysis Report and seal the report with an individualized seal as proof that the Assessment was performed by a Certified Risk Assessor and that the report was conducted in accordance with the MyRiskControl system of risk measurement.
What would cause my application to be denied?
An application would be denied if you do have sufficient proven knowledge of the construction industry or do not meet the educational and experience requirements.
