Four year degree from an accredited college or university majoring in business administration, accounting, construction management, or engineering, or a minimum of ten years operating or working for a construction company.
Detailed understanding of construction financial statements, including completed contract and contracts-in-progress schedules.
General understanding of the accounting process within a construction company.
Experience managing, working with, or providing services for a construction company.
General understanding of the organizational structure and inner workings of a construction company.
General understanding of the construction bid process.
General understanding of the various lines of construction insurance and the procedures for obtaining coverage.
General knowledge of construction sales methods and marketing.
General knowledge of standard construction safety practices.
General knowledge of bank or surety underwriting and the procedures for obtaining bank or surety credit.
